Operating Systems

I have experience with different operating systems on computers but not hands on with the phone or tablet.
I did do a lot of research so I will describe a little bit of that for the phone and tablet sections.

Computers

So for work I have to use Window 11. It does the job but is slow and the privacy stuff bothers me. Then reports came out that my beautiful little pc won't be able to run it fully supported or at least it will be just as difficult to set is up as Linux. And THEN I would need to go trough a whole checklist to get a little bit of privacy... So yeah back to Linux
I like Ubuntu 🇬🇧. It might not be the best distro but it is user friendly enough for me. Moreover the colour is great.
Everything worked out of the box for me: Bluetooth, keyboard, mouse, wifi etc.
Mint 🇮🇪 is also very user friendly and gives me warm, fuzzy Windows XP feelings. Also great colour and works great on older hardware.

Gaming

Yes had to command line install some drivers. But manuals online are great nowadays!
Moreover, I am not scared of a bit of commandline no more!😎
You can play most steam games using Proton
Gog games I have yet to try. My games from it do run in the SteamDeck just fine.
Ea game store... Maybe I just have to repurchase Ooblets but will update this bit later.

Phone

Yes I did it! I have been daily driving a Fairphone 🇳🇱 with /e/OS now for 6 months.
There was one banking app I had an issue with but after an update it worked fine.
When crossing the border I do need to restart and play with apn's (and be patient, wait 60sec after every try) for the 5G to work again...
And for some weird wifi login websites you need to first open HTTP Forever because those websites are not well build.
Those were they only issue. I will update the list if stuff changes.

Tablet

I don't have a tablet but it was a fun research topic. It seems to really depend on the hardware if it can run a Linux distro.
See the list here for Ubuntu Touch 🇬🇧 for example.
I found a good repo for windows surface.
